ACADE-ME is funded by the European program “Citizens, Equality, Rights, and Values” (CERV).
ACADE-ME aims to counter entrenched anti-Roma prejudice in the educational sector and promote the social inclusion of Roma students. This phenomenon, recognized as a form of institutional and social racism by European institutions such as the European Parliament and the Council of Europe, is a significant obstacle to equality and integration of Roma communities, especially in the school setting.
In line with the “EU Strategic Framework for Roma Equality, Inclusion, and Participation” (2020-2030), ACADE-ME places education at the center of its action to combat discrimination, promote inclusion, and address structural barriers such as school segregation, low academic expectations, and limited educational resources—factors that perpetuate cycles of poverty and social exclusion among Roma students.

ACADE-ME addresses these challenges with targeted interventions aimed at creating concrete opportunities and providing the necessary support for Roma students to fully express their potential, enabling them to actively and equally contribute to social and economic life.
The project aims to actively engage Roma communities, promoting positive change through training programs, awareness-raising activities, and the creation of educational and informational resources. The objective is to improve life prospects and foster the full social integration of Roma people in Europe. The goal is to improve life prospects and promote the full social integration of Roma people in Europe.
